Prof. Mike Oquaye is threatening a legal battle against David Hoezame for dragging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to court.
David Hoezame, a member of the Volta Regional branch of NPP applied for an injunction to restrain the party from holding its Congress on Sunday, August 31.
According to Hoezame, the party breached the party’s constitution during its election of national and regional executives.
The case was however dismissed by the presiding Judge, Justice K.A. Ofori Atta on the basis that the plaintiff neither availed himself for internal party dispute resolution mechanisms nor follow up his case in court.
A cost of Ghc2, 000 was awarded by the Court against Hoezame.
But Prof. Mike Oquaye who represented the NPP in court, on Citi Fm said he will mobilize his legal team to have the case totally scrapped from court.
“We are going to pursue him by law. And we are going to show the frivolity of his action. Otherwise we have succeeded in having an injunction. We don’t want the case to be hanging about there so as chairman I intended, together with my team, to have this matters carried out to its logical conclusion for everybody to understand himself or herself,” he added.
