The Porcupine Warriors defender has signed for a Guinea top-flight side after the expiration of his contract
Former Asante Kotoko left-back Ben Adama Bahn has officially signed for Conakry-based club AS Kaloum Stars in a one year deal.
The 31-year-old Ivorian international joined Asante Kotoko in 2012 and opted to take a new challenge after his contract ended on August 1, despite persuasion by the Kotoko management to extend it.
Adama believe it is time to take up a new challenge in a different environment after winning almost every trophy in the west African country.
“Kotoko is a big team with great history but I think I’ve to move on to a different country for a different challenge,” Adama told Kumasi-based Fox FM. “They wanted to sign me on a long term but I opted for one year, it wasn’t easy though but after pulling some strings everything went through and I’m very happy now.”
“I didn’t know they have been monitoring me in the Ghana Premier League, it was a surprise to me when the club’s management disclosed a lot about me and my former team [Kotoko].The money is also good so I think all will be well here,” Adama said.
He won two Ghana top-flight league titles and one FA Cup title with Asante Kotoko.
