Black Stars winger, Christian Twasam Atsu has described his loan move from Chelsea to Everton as a dream-come-true for him.
The former Porto player completed his move to the Merseyside side on Wednesday after he attained his working permit and passed a medical.
Christian Atsu made 28 appearances and scored 5 goals on loan for Vitesse Arnhem in the Eridevise last season.
He was also voted Vitesse’s best player of the season by the clubs fans.
In his first interview as an Everton player, Christian Atsu admitted to the intense competition that lied ahead of him this season in the English Premier League and insisted he was mentally ready to confront all those challenges.
“This is the biggest level for me to play at. I know that it’s a very competitive league and I believe with hard work, we’re going to be successful this season.”
He then added that “playing in the Premier League has always been a dream for me and I have achieved that dream”
Meanwhile, Everton manager, Roberto Martinez has welcomed Atsu to the club and hailed his experience and qualities as a massive boost to the toffees this season.
“He can play on both wings, play through the middle and has appreciation of space. Technically he is a very gifted and will fit extremely well.
“He has the hunger and desire to want to show what he can do in the Premier League and we feel we are ready to give him that opportunity.”
