Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Nkoranza North, Eric Amoateng is still in Police custody for failing to meet his bail bond.
Mr. Amoateng was granted a GHC 200, 000 bail with two sureties by an Accra Circuit Court on Friday after he was charged with possessing forged document.
A family source told Citi News, they still working to get him out of Police custody.
Eric Amoateng arrived in Ghana on Thursday from the United States of America (USA) where he served a 10-year jail term for dealing in narcotics.
While going through formalities at the Kotoka International Airport, it was discovered he had in his possession, a forged Ghanaian passport with the number H2347080 and the bio data page substituted.
He but was whisked away by NACOB officials for debriefing. The ex-law maker was the taken into custody by the Nima Police.
He is to report to the Police every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
