Scottish champions Celtic have agreed terms over a deal to sign Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso on a season-long loan from Rubin Kazan.
The 24-year-old will have a medical in Russian capital, Moscow, with Celtic desperate to register him before the Champions League playoff deadline at 22:00 GMT on Tuesday night.
The player joined the Russian side from Espanyol last summer in a deal thought to be in the region of €6m
Wakaso played at the 2014 World Cup for Ghana but did not start a single game at the tournament in Brazil.
Celtic will face Maribor on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions league playoff tie in Slovenia.
The Hoops only progressed to the final round of the playoffs after their opponents in the previous round, Legia Warsaw, were thrown out for fielding an ineligible player in the second leg of the tie.
The Polish club had won the tie 6-1 on aggregate after a 2-nil win in Scotland, but were subsequently handed a 3-nil loss, after it was revealed that one of their substitutes had been suspended for the game.
