The Ashesi Innovation Experience (AIX) is a two (2) week-long enrichment program , which targets Senior High School students in Ghana, and aims to give them the tools and skills necessary for success in the 21st Century. It allows students to explore various opportunities in Entrepreneurship, Robotics and Design while grooming them to be ethical leaders in their societies.
The students also got a feel of how Bernard and his team run the award-winning Citi Breakfast Show. His presentation ended with the sharing of some soundbites from the Citi Breakfast Show .
According to Bernard, “it was an honor to be part of the AIX. Ashesi University is doing wonderfully well in raising outstanding future leaders and I enjoyed sharing what I know with them.”
“As a broadcaster and public figure, I owe it to the next generation to provide mentorship and inspiration to prepare young Ghanaians for commanding heights of media work in the near future,” he added.
“It was refreshingly exhausting and dealt with creativity, innovation and public speaking. We were exposed to assertive and “outside the box” views on topics,” one student wrote on the AIX blog.
“The talk with Mr. Bernard Avle, a radio personality, and the speech competition were both engaging and interesting, though we were exhausted,” another student wrote.
