Former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Ben Koufie has jumped to the defense of Sulley Muntari and his other colleagues who rebelled in Brazil over their appearance fees.
Some senior players of the national team, including Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng were reported to have gotten angry in Brazil over delays in paying their appearance fees and other bonuses.
This resulted in the outright dismissal of Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng from the senior national team for what GFA management described as gross misconduct.
On the contrary, a former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Ben Koufie says Sulley Muntari and co did no wrong with their demands.
The veteran sports former administrator, Ben Koufie spoke to Citi Sports on the sidelines here at the Tamale Sports stadium where 62 license ‘C’ coaches are attending a two-week course.
Ben Koufie however, said discipline should be maintained in the senior national team.
