Egyptian outfit Smouha have signed Ghanaian forward Abdul Aziz Yusif from reigning Ghana Premier League champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a 3 year deal, speculated to be in the region of $150,000.
Abdul Aziz played an integral part during Kotoko’s sensational double last season where he featured in 19 games and scored an impressive 7 goals to ensure the Kumasi based club won both the FA cup and league title.
His departure from Kumasi Asante Kotoko adds up to the soaring number of players who have already left the club ahead of their upcoming 2014/15 campaign.
The likes of Jordan Opoku and Seidu Bancey have been sold while veteran keeper Soulama Abdoulaye has been released by the club after both parties reached a mutual agreement.
Also, in another interesting twist, Abdul Aziz’s move to Smouha could see him partnering former Asante Kotoko teammate, Seidu Bancy, who also joined the club earlier in July.
