Three persons were on Friday arraigned at an Accra circuit court for preparation to commit crime, possession of firearms and possession of narcotic drugs.
The three; Prince Ogyiri, Mauli Sedzro and Ebenezer Awuku, all pleaded not guilty to the charges but Mawuli and Ebenezer were granted bail in the sum GHC 10,000.00 with two sureties, one to be justified.
Prince was, however, remanded into police custody. They are to reappear on July 23.
Presenting the facts of the case, Police Chief Inspector Adu told the court that on June 28, the complainants, who are police informants, met the accused persons at Kokomba Market with Prince having a bag fastened to his back.
He said the complainants, on seeing the behaviour of the accused persons as they entered a drinking spot, suspected the content of the bag.
The prosecution said the complainants then searched the bag and found it to contain a locally manufactured double-barrel gun, one parcel of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, a kitchen knife and voters ID card belonging to Prince.
The suspects were arrested and handed over to the police for investigations.
