The 1989 year group of Osu Presbyterian Senior High School on Saturday June 28th 2014, handed over a refurbished library to the management of the school at a short ceremony.
The project which cost GHC20,000 involved fixing ceiling fans, replacing windows, shelves, tables and chairs as well as painting the facility.
Receiving the keys to the refurbished library,Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Shine Ofori expressed her satisfaction saying, “at long last there’s a conducive place for students to research and study”.
She went on to assure the Class of ’89 that their donation will go a long way in enhancing and achieving better results and also increase the number of students who pass the WASSCE with distinction.
The Regional Director of the Ghana Library Authority, Mr. Guy Amarteifio pledged at the ceremony that his outfit would give technical support to the school in maintaining the library.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary, OPOSA’89 also made a donation to the Osu Juvenile Correctional Center.
The celebration of OPOSA’89 was climaxed on Sunday with a Thanksgiving Service at Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian church.
