President John Mahama is promising to use all legitimate means available to deal with the murderers of the Late Overlord of Bimbilla, Naa Dasana Abdulai Andani II.
This, he said is necessary in order to facilitate reconciliation and peace in Bimbilla.
The Overlord of Bimbilla was attacked and killed together with five others on Thursday June 19, by some armed men.
So far, 21 suspects have been arrested and are before the law courts.
In a meeting with the National House of Chiefs, the President indicated that the government will get to the bottom of the matter to serve as deterrent to others.
He condemned the “appalling and brutal” murder of the Bimbilla overlord adding that all the necessary steps to make sure that the “perpetrators of this terrible crime are dealt with according to our laws.”
The President noted that the murders will be apprehended and prosecuted “to serve as a deterrent to any other such criminally minded people.”
According to him, his government will not allow activities of murderous individuals and groups to thrive by creating “so much hurt, pain and insecurity in our community.”
