The Ghana Football Association(GFA) will today hold a press conference to address the issues relating to Ghana’s poor show at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The press conference comes in the wake of what many Ghanaians have described as a disappointing show of the Black Stars in the world’s biggest soccer tournament in Brazil.
In a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by the GFA, the press conference will be held at the Alisa Hotel at 1:00pm.
The Black Stars were eliminated in the first round of the competition after occupying the last spot in Group G which had the USA, Germany and Portugal as group opponents.
Ghana’s participation in the 2014 was rocked with scandals some of which led to to the sacking of two players, Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng from the team camp.
The president of the GFA attributed the failure of the Black Stars at World Cup to the “appearance fee syndrome”.
“Money, money, money had been the refrain by the players, and it is a pity they allowed this to ruin our World Cup,” he said.
