Over six hectors of farmlands have been destroyed in the last three days following ethnic dispute between feuding factions in Bimbilla.
There has been violence in Bimbilla since the overload of the town, Naa Dasana Andani Abdulai II passed on.
The Bimbilla District Coordinating Council is warning of famine in the area if destruction of farm lands in the area is not stopped.
Speaking to Citi News, the Bimbilla District Coordinating Director Ivan Dam explained that efforts to arrest the perpetrators have proved futile since the Police have still not identified them yet.
He however said security agents in the area are still on the lookout for the perpetrators of the act.
“Nobody knows those carrying out this act so we announced on Monday, our decision to arrest anyone found culpable” he said.
He also appealed to the residents in the community to assist the police in their search.
