Ghana’s Janet Amponsah was disqualified from the semi-finals of the women’s 200m heats after a false start.
The announcement of her disqualification was made after she was allowed to complete the race in which she finished eighth.
Bianca Williams of England 23.17 seconds won the heat and made the final of the event.
Amponsah will now compete for Ghana in the heats of the women’s 4x100m relay on the 1st of August at Hampden Park.
Meanwhile, Anita Fourdjour recorded a new personal best time over 1500m in the women’s T54 final despite placing 8th out of 10 athletes.
Fourdjour recorded a time of 4:11.29 minutes. Her team-mate Ajara Mohammed was tenth with a time of 4:30.99.
The gold medal was won by Australia’s Angela Ballard in a time of 3:58.20.
