A grooming products firm has created a diamond-encrusted nail clipper to mark Prince George’s first birthday.
Anyone wishing to buy the 18 carat gold device as a present for the third in line to the throne will need deep pockets as it is being retailed at an incredible £1 MILLION.
The clipper, believed to be the most expensive of its kind in the world. features 350 individual diamonds each valued at over £2,000.
The nail file – which is designed for children – features diamond dust instead of the usual emery abrasive.
The company, Stylfile, was founded by Tom Pellereau, winner of ITV’s Apprentice programme in 2011 and is backed by the Lord Sugar himself.
Craftsmen have spent nearly 10 weeks designing and developing the luxurious nail set to commemorate the birthday of the third in line to the throne.
A less luxurious version of the nail set set f non-royals, the Nipper Clipper, is available at a bargain £9.99.
Pellereau said: “Royalty or not, cutting babies’ nails is a tricky task, that all parents need a solution to.
“However, only the best will do for the third in line to the throne so we went back to the drawing board to transform the Nipper Clipper into a nail clipper that really is fit for Prince. We hope that this will make nail cutting much less of a core!”
Pellereau, who has a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with Innovation and Design, was inspired by watching his sister file her nails “the old fashioned way.”
