There were reports of renewed sporadic gunshots in Bimbila Township on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Eyewitnesses there accounted that the sporadic gunshots lasted for 30 minutes.
Attempts to reach security operatives in Bimbila as well as the Chairman of the District Security Council who doubles as the Nanumba North District Chief Executive, Ibn Abass proved futile.
At the time of filing this report, there was no evidence as to what triggered the renewed gunshots. Also, there were no records of casualties.
Bimbila has since the beginning of this year witnessed clashes between the two feuding chieftaincy factions claiming ascendency to the Nanung paramountcy.
Residents there are uncertain about the return of absolute peace for socio-economic development to triumph.
