The National Democratic Congress (NDC) would hold its National Delegates’ Congress on October 24, 2014, the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has announced.
He said Regional, Constituency and Youth executive elections would also be conducted before the end of August.
Mr Asiedu-Nketia announced this during the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of the party in Accra on Thursday.
The meeting which was also used to launch the biometric NDC membership cards was attended by executive members, elders and sympathisers of the party throughout the country.
The General Secretary appealed to all constituency and regional executives to ensure the elections are concluded before the national delegates congress at a yet to be announced venue.
He commended the Western Region for printing a total of 44,000 cards, while 18,000 are completed.
Mr Asiedu Nketia said the Northern Region had so far captured 80,000 and expressed the hope that they would at the end of the programme get about 150,000 members.
He said in due course the NEC would come out with a comprehensive programme on all their campaign promises that boarders on new Party Headquarters, Organisational manual for training of party members, party school and biometric registration of all members.
