Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Muntari, has given an undisclosed amount of money to disadvantaged children in Brazil.
The Black Stars player, a devout Muslim, took some time off his schedule to tour the city of Maceio, where the Stars are based.
Muntari interacted with the residents, who came out in their numbers to see the AC Milan player, taking photographs and signing autographs.
This act is in character for the player as he and his wife, Menaye, own a foundation for needy children in Ghana.
The Black Stars face Portugal on Thursday in a match they must win to stand any chance of progressing from the group.
Muntari however is suspended for the game after he picked up his second yellow card of the tournament against Germany.
