AshantiGold have stated their intention to grab a slot in the top four bracket at the end of this season’s First Capital Plus Premier League campaign.
The Miners are currently 4th on 42 points and they face second-placed Heart of Lions in Obuasi on the final day of matches in what could be a difficult tie for the two sides but AshGold are say are confident of winning the encounter to close out a season they have described as “below par”.
” We would like to finish in the top four and we have made that clear to the players. We won away from home in the last round and we will work hydrocodone hard to win the match on Wednesday”, said Nimo Poku, a member of the team’s communications team.
AshantiGold went through a shaky run in the second round winning only four matches while losing seven and drawing three and Nimo believes the results played a huge part in the current fight for top four football.
We did not have a good season as we had planned to else we would done better than teams like Heart of Lions and Hearts of Oak. The match on Wednesday gives us an opportunity to make the fans happy. We know we are more motivated than Lions to win that game to end the season well.”
