Self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has been named the Artiste of the Year at Saturday’s 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA)
Aside winning the much coveted award in Ghana’s music industry, Shata Wale, also won the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year.
The fastest rapper in Ghana, Sarkodie raked in four awards; the Album of the Year, Hip Hop Song of the Year, Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste of the Year and Best Rapper of the Year.
The 15th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which took place at the Accra International Conference Center was well patronized by music lovers, actors and actresses, some popular sports figures in Ghana including; Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers and other well-known individuals in Ghana’s entertainment industry
