Jordan Ayew is on loan at Sochaux but is hoping his parent club will come calling again.
The younger Ayew, 22, hopes playing regular football at Sochaux can revive his Marseille career.
He moved on loan in January and has scored three times in 15 appearances.
“There’s nothing better than playing every weekend. That’s what Sochaux gives me, so I’m happy here,” he told Ligue1.com.
Relegation is staring Sochaux in the face, making Ayew even more determined to keep them out of the drop. He knows his credentials will be bettered if that happens.
“I am capable of being an undisputed first-team regular at Marseille but for the moment, I want to play well at Sochaux and go to the World Cup. We’ll see after that.”
Sochaux are four points away from safety with a few games to go.
