Aduana Stars have expressed their wish to keep their Premier League status for next season they drew 1-1 with Bechem United in an outstanding match played at the Coronation Park in Sunyani.
The former league champions scored first through Daniel Darkwa but were drawn level after Emmanuel Asante struck for Bechem but the point gained has heightened Aduana’s wish to fight off relegation at the end of the season.
” We have not lost in our last six matches and there are three more to be played. We have Hasaacas at home on the 21st and Kotoko on the final day but we have to play Inter Allies in between.
We are targeting forty points at the end of the season and that will get us to stay in the league”, said the club’s spokesperson Akwasi Appiah-Kubi to Citi Sports on Sunday after the match.
Aduana Stars are currently 13th on 34 points after the draw and are just four points off the bottom-placed Dwarfs.
