Medeama’s push for second place in the First Capital Plus Premier League suffered a hit following a 2-0 defeat to Wa All Stars on Thursday in Wa.

The Mauves, who have been brilliant in the second round of the League and in their Confederation Cup campaign still have two games in hand and are six points off second-place.

Two goals after the break helped Wa All Stars to victory, ending their poor run in recent times.

Michael Mensah scored the opener after 58 minutes before the Blues’ top-scorer, Paul De Vries Asare sealed all three points twenty minutes later.

Wa All Stars, who have another home game this weekend have now moved to eighth on the standings.
