“Sometimes i tune to radio commentary and for the first ten minutes i cant even tell which team is playing from where to where,we need to correct some of these things otherwise when we go to compete on the international level they look at us and laugh,” he said.
“I’m appealing to radio station owners especially the local ones they should invest a bit more in equipment and also a bit more into training the personnel they hire,” he told Citi Sports.
Banson was speaking at the launch of the Ghana Sports Journalists Awards Launch in Accra. The event which comes on in December will see sports journalists in the country awarded in various categories including most promising sports journalist of the year and most popular sports program of the year for both television and radio.
