2014 has been a great year for Ghanaian songstress Efya Awindor.
Efya, who celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago with the legendary Reggie Rockstone, has a whole lot more to celebrate this year even though it is yet to hit the half-year mark.
The reigning best Ghanaian female vocalist has been nominated for the Best Female award in Africa’s most respected music awards show – the MTV Africa Music Awards. This brings to seven the awards she’s been nominated for this year. She’s garnered five nominations for the upcoming World Music Awards in the Best Song, Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Entertainer and Best Video categories.
She has taken to her official Facebook page to thank his fans and team and ask for further support to win all the awards she’s been nominated for.
“This year has been a blessing, Thanks to all my fans world wide for the love and support and to my team for believing in me. A wise man once said ‘forward ever, backward never’. I got nominated 7 times this year, words can’t express how grateful I am. This is to all my fans and the organizations that help make this happen.”
Voting for the MTV Africa Music Awards and World Music Awards are all online.
