The Electoral Commission (E.C) has sent 80 of its officials to Tamale to monitor the NPP’s national delegate’s conference.
Speaking to Citi News, Deputy Chairman of the EC, Ahaji Amadu Sule says the Commission is prepared for Saturday.
“We are around delivering this voting process here at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. We have been working very close with the election committee of the party. Directors who are going to serve as coordinators of the process are also coming.
We have all the District officers of the Northern Region, supported by some good officers also coming so in all we are expecting about 80 officials,” he stated
The NPP will hold its National Delegates’ Conference on Saturday, April 12.
A total number of 5, 265 delegates of the party are expected to vote at the Conference in Tamale to elect the party’s national executives.
Eligible voters include 76 Founding Members; 15 Council of Elders, 123 Members of Parliament, 34 National Council Members, 29 National Executive Committee, 192 Overseas Branch Officers, and 236 TESCON (Tertiary Students Confederacy) Members.
