A Deputy Education Minister in charge of tertiary education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says government will study and analyze the University of Ghana’s response to government over the restrictions on use of the roads within the campus.
Education Minister; Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang asked the University to explain its decision.
Some Parliamentarians are outraged by the new directive because according to them, it is causing public disaffection.
Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa said the Ministry will soon take appropriate action on the report.
“This report has been received; it’s being studied and we want to assure the good people of our country that we will study the report and we will be able to come out with recommendations that will be beneficial to all,” he said.
According to him, an amicable solution will be found to satisfy commuters, the university and the general public.
The authorities of the University of Ghana from March 15 restricted access into the university campus in a bid to control the number of vehicle which use the university roads as a thorough fare.
