Police in Tamale have arrested one suspect in-connection with the murder of one Mustapha Abdul Rashid, who was shot dead in Aboabo a couple of weeks ago.
The 32 year old suspect, Salifu Abdul Rahaman is in police custody and is to re-appear in court on April 28, 2014.
He is facing provisional charges of conspiracy to commit crime and murder.
Updating Citi News on the development, Northern Regional police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer said the suspect was arrested by a mob at Kakpagyili, a suburb of the Tamale metropolis and handed over to the police.
He implied that police investigations on the suspect were inclusive, but that the docket had been forwarded to the Attorney Generals Department for legal advice.
Meanwhile, the police are still searching for the murderers of one Mohammed Nasir, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kandaha boys group who was also murdered in his home at Sagnarigu.
