Owner of mining company shot dead

gun-shot-566x328The owner of a small scale mining company, Samuel Frimpong was shot dead last night by unidentified assailants who reportedly made away with a bag full of cash.

The incident happened at Atwima Takyiman in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti region.

Speaking to Citi News, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ibrahim Tanko stated that the victim was driving into his residence when he was attacked in his vehicle with two other people.

“They shot him behind the driving seat and they killed him,” he said

The Ashanti Regional Police Command DCOP Nanathan Kofi Boakye has also assured that the culprits will be brought to book.

According to Mr. Boakye, the Police has established strong links that will lead the police to arrest the people who murdered the owner of SamHenk group of companies- the mining firm.
