The Nsawam Government Hospital in the Eastern Region is likely to record more cases of infant mortality in the future due to the lack of incubators in the hospital.
According to Citi News’ Eastern Regional correspondent, Kwame Appiah, several efforts to reduce infant mortality in the region have proved futile due to the absence of incubators at the hospital.
Authorities at the various hospitals in the region are therefore appealing to the Ministry of Health and other philanthropists and individuals to come to their aid and address the problem with immediate effect.
