The Commission of Inquiry established by the President to enquire into judgment debt payments and other related matters will resume public sittings on March 24, 2014.

The Commission will now hold its sittings at its new location – the former officers of the Constitutional Review Commission, #16, 5th Link Cantonments opposite the American Embassy Roundabout, Accra.

A press statement issued by the Commission also noted that “the public sittings would be held at 10.00 a.m. each day and close at 4.00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; however the Commission may sometimes sit on Thursdays to hasten its work.”

It further urged members of the public who wish to testify or volunteer information to first report at the Commission’s office to give their statement and “the Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence.”

It also stated that all those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but are unable to be present in person are requested to submit memoranda to the Commission.

“The Commission wishes to assure persons who may testify or assist the Commission in its work that their identities will be protected and their safety guaranteed,” it said

JUDGEMENT DEBT COMMISSION TO RESUME PUBLIC SITTINGS

The Commission of Inquiry established by His Excellency President John Mahama to enquire into judgement debt payments and other related matters will resume public sittings after the fire outbreak from Monday March 24, 2014 at its new location, the former offices of the Constitutional Review Commission,  #16, 5thLink Cantonments opposite the American Embassy Roundabout, Accra.

The Commission wishes to remind the general public that Public sittings would be held at 10.00 a.m. each day and close at 4.00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; however the Commission may sometimes sit on Thursdays to hasten its work.

Members of the public who wish to testify or volunteer information are first to report at the Commission’s office to give their statement. The Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence.

All those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but are unable to be present in person are requested to submit memoranda to the Commission. All such memoranda will be treated confidentially.

The Commission wishes to assure persons who may testify or assist the Commission in its work that their identities will be protected and their safety guaranteed.

The Commission’s office is located at 16, 5th Link Cantonments opposite the American Embassy Roundabout, Accra precisely the former offices of the Constitutional Review Commission.
