Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak Muheed Saaed has confirmed the sacking of four back-room staff – assistant coach Ben Adjei, reserve team coach Jacob Nettey, goalkeepers trainer Dan Tettevi and welfare manager Nat Ofosu – from the club.
It has been reported in the local media that head coach of the club Mohammed Polo requested for the axing of his backroom and recommended his own men to assist him on the job.
But Saaed reiterated that it was the decision of management to mutually part ways with the four backroom staff.
“It is true that four of our coaching staffs are no more with us,” Saeed told Happy FM.
“Management took the decision before telling the coach. It is not all the time that the coach can request for who he wants to work with. Management can also do the same.”
The statement also confirmed the appointment of Eben Armah Dida as goalkeepers trainer whiles ex skipper Yaw Amankwaa Mireku will act as team manager for the Phobians.
Mr Commey Bortsi has formally been appointed as the head of physiotherapy Department of the club.
