Ghana climbed two places up to 35th in the latest global football rankings released on the 13th of March by FIFA.
Despite losing to Montenegro in the pre-World Cup friendly to Montenegro, the Black Stars, moved from 33rd but they had slight dip in their points build-up as they dropped from 733 from 729 points.
The Stars, though remain fifth in Africa after Cote D’Ivoire (who are 24th in the world), Algeria (25th), Egypt (26th) and Cape Verde (33rd).
World champions Spain are still top of pile with 1510 points.
Two of Ghana’s opponents in the 2014 World Cup, Germany and Portugal are also in teh top five with Germany placing second and Potugal coming in 4th. They are behind Argentina who have 1199 points.
Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Italy, World Cup hosts Brazil, and Belgium closing out the top ten.
Netherlands and England are 11th and 12th respectively.
