Members of the United Cadre Front (UCF) of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Lower Manya Krobo District in the Eastern Region are calling for the dismissal of the District Chief Executive for the area.
The cadre members are accusing the current DCE, Isaac Agbo-Tetteh of fueling factionalism in the party within the district.
Speaking to Citi News the Chairman of the Manya Krobo District of the cadres, Kwame Awuley Mensah said “The people are not happy with what is actually going on. In reality there is a complete disintegration of the party over here”
Mr. Agbo-Tetteh has also been accused of disrespecting the traditional authorities in the district. “he has incurred the sanction of the chiefs and elders and called them imposters. And he can’t neglect the traditional people when we want development”.
Kwame Awuley Mensah said due to the attitude of the DCE “development has come to a standstill as far as this district is concerned”.
Isaac Agbo-Tetteh is also being accused of working with the opposition political parties in the district.
“Because he thinks that the opposition people will probably plot against him he has started awarding contracts to people over here who are well noted opposition party.”
The UCF members are therefore asking government to nominate a substantive DCE for the area.
