Citi Sports can confirm that Jerry Asare, a member of the Asante Kotoko Board, has passed on.
Sources close to the club confirmed the news to Citi Sports on Monday and said the late Asare had been unwell for quite sometime before his demise. He was reported to have flown outside the country for treatment on his spine.
Up until his passing , he was the spokesperson for the Asante Kotoko board that was inaugurated by the Asantehene in 2013 and was headed by Paul Adu-Gyamfi.
He previously held positions in the club as Operations Manager in 2007 under the then IMC headed by Sylvester Asare-Owusu and a Board Member and the Accra Representative of the club in 2011 when Dr. K.K. Sarpong was the club’s Executive Board Chairman.
