Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Prof. J.K. Mintah has said that there are signs of progress in his team and they continue to work harder in the league.

Dwarfs managed to hold Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in Week 18 of the First Capital Plus Premier League but despite the team’s low position of 15th on the log, Prof. Mintah indicated that there were some positives from the result.

” We are improving with every game we play and it is a good sign for us. We got a point today and we believe that, it will drive us on to bigger things”, he said in an interview with Citi Sports on Thursday.

With the point, Dwarfs are now 15th on the table with 17 points.

However, despite Dwarfs’ poor streak in the local league, they have qualified to the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup where they will meet Angolan side Petro Atletico but according to Prof. Mintah, they are ready to challenge on the continent as well as in Ghana.

” We have to deal with both assignments. We are ready for the challenges because we knew what we were going into so we are prepared for that. We are going to work hard enough to progress as far as we can.”

Dwarfs play the first leg in Cape Coast on the weekend of 28 February and 02 March  while the return leg will be held in Luanda on the weekend of 7-9 March 2014.
