The New Patriotic Party (NPP)vetting committee has cleared all five aspirants who were earlier disqualified from contesting for national positions.
This was after the National Vetting Committee reviewed appeal the five aspirants filed to contest in the party’s impending congress.
Speaking to Citi News, Secretary of the Vetting Committee, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah said the disqualified aspirants were given another opportunity since they had improved on their performance.
If they have learnt from their low performance, and have now improved why shouldn’t they be given the opportunity?”he said
He further stated that since the appeals committee had given the go ahead, the aspirants were now qualified to contest national positions.
The five aspirants are Fred Amakwah Sarfo, Hajia Fatima and Philomena Serwah Akoto vying for Vice-Chairmanship positions.
The rest are Kamal Abdulai contesting for NASARA Coordinator and Charles Adu Gyamfi contesting the National Youth Organiser position respectively.
