Mfantsipim School<\/strong>\u00a0was established on April 3, 1876, making it the first secondary school to be established in the Gold Coast, now Ghana.<\/p>\n

Key among Mfantsipim\u2019s alumni are Kofi Annan, Nobel Prize winner and former Secretary-General of the United Nations; Kofi Abrefa Busia, former prime minister of Ghana; Alex Quaison-Sackey, former head of the UN General Assembly and Ghana\u2019s current vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.<\/p>\n
