IMF bailout\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nGovernment requested the help of the IMF in \u00a02014 for a possible bailout from its economic woes following\u00a0high inflation rates, depreciation of the cedi, huge wage bill, among others.<\/p>\n
In early February 2015 government said it had concluded most of the outstanding issues concerning the negotiations with the IMF.<\/p>\n
Government has stated that the bailout programme is to boast investor confidence in Ghana’s economy.<\/p>\n
