There is dramatic improvement in road infrastructure across the Northern Region in line with what was captured in President John Dramani Mahama’s State of the Nation Address.

Whilst some projects are ongoing, others have been completed awaiting government’s inauguration.

The President did not mislead the nation by proudly crediting his administration with some successes gained in the road sector in his home region.

He said the 147-kilometre Fufulso-Sawla Road was almost complete while the Buipe-Tamale road asphalt overlay was completed.

He also mentioned the Nakpanduri-Oti Damanko portion of the Eastern Corridor which works is steadily progressing after the grounds breaking ceremony.

President Mahama was vindicated when Citi News checked on the aforementioned road projects.

Two Chinese companies are working on the Damongo-Fufulso Sawla road which serves a link between the Northern and Upper West Regions.

In the past, only four wheel drive and heavy duty trucks could use that road where there are a lot of tourism potentials.
