Vodafone Ghana Foundation, the charitable arm of Vodafone Ghana, has donated life-support devices and other critical medical equipment to the Taifa Polyclinic in Accra to help improve healthcare delivery to residents of Taifa and\u00a0 surrounding communities.<\/p>\n
The equipment which includes sphygmomanometers, oxygen cylinders, suction machine with tubes, medicine trolley, bedside lockers, delivery set and screens were presented to the resource-challenged community clinic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here today because we know the challenges your hospital faces. We hope that this donation will enable the hospital save more lives and support the Taifa community and its environs. Vodafone Ghana Foundation is extremely passionate about Health and has introduced several impactful healthcare initiatives to various communities across the country to improve access to quality healthcare\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
Receiving the items on behalf of the Polyclinic, Sophia Oware, Hospital Administrator at the Taifa Polyclinic said:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very happy to see Vodafone put smiles on the faces of patients. We have lacked these facilities and they have been a worry to us all here. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Vodafone Ghana for this kind gesture which would go a long way to save many lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Foundation, since 2009 has introduced several impactful healthcare initiatives to various communities across the country to improve access to quality healthcare. These include Healthline, the multiple award-winning CSR initiative; and Healthfest which provides free quality healthcare to communities across the country.<\/p>\n
