Citi Business News can confirm that the former Vice President of Corporate Affairs of AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Kwame Addo-Kufuor has moved to another mining firm, Newmont.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”Xjzg5fvZGJEvy5IDutJhDZx818Mdyqx4″]According to a statement from Newmont, Kwame Addo – Kufuor has been appointed as the Regional Chief Financial Officer for Newmont Africa.<\/p>\n
‘Newmont Africa has announced the appointment of Kwame Addo-Kufuor to its Africa Regional Leadership Team.
\nKwame Addo-Kufuor has assumed the position of Regional Chief Financial Officer (RCFO) with accountability for the Region\u2019s Finance, Business Planning, Tax, Internal Audit and Information Technology services’.<\/p>\n
Kwame Addo-Kufuor resigned from Anglo Gold Ashanti early this month after being with the company for 18 years.<\/p>\n
Kwame has also worked with Price Waterhouse London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.<\/p>\n
He has held various senior positions in the mining industry in Ghana including First Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Newmont has also appointed Robert Agbozo as it Senior Director, Legal Affairs with responsibility for the Region\u2019s Legal and Ethics Compliance services.<\/p>\n
Robert Agbozo who will have oversight responsibility for Newmont Africa\u2019s Legal Function also assumes the role of Board Secretary to Newmont Ghana Gold Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Limited\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
Prior to taking up his new role, Robert was the Manager, Legal Affairs.<\/p>\n
