<\/a><\/p>\nShe further said\u00a0that they would build a borehole for the people of Nyanyano to help provide potable water to the community.<\/p>\n
The only source of water in the area is being contaminated with chemicals.<\/p>\n
The club has presented medical items running into millions of cedis to the Gomoa Nyanyanor community health post.<\/p>\n
Receiving the donation on behalf of the community Nana Obeng Wiabo V, the chief of the area, thanked the Rotary club for their \u201ccontinued support for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
He was optimistic the library will go a long way to improve the \u201cpoor state\u201d of education in the area.<\/p>\n
Nana Obeng Wiabo V, also charged the students in the community to ensure they take advantage of the library and study very hard.<\/p>\n
He also implored on them to take good care of the library. Like Oliver Twist, the Gomoa Nyanyano chief asked the Rotary club to continue supporting the community especially in the areas of education and water.<\/p>\n
Rotary Club of Accra South is part of Rotary International, a service club organization founded in 1905 in Chicago by an attorney, Paul P. Harris.<\/p>\n
Chartered on 8th August, 2000, Accra South is one of 34 Rotary Clubs in Ghana, and one of the over 34,000 clubs that belong to Rotary International.<\/p>\n
The Rotary motto is \u201cService Above Self,\u201d which relates to service in the community, workplace and the world. Rotary clubs are comprised of business and professional leaders who serve their local communities and beyond.<\/p>\n
