Ghana has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Political consultation with Botswana in Gaborone, Botswana during President Mahama’s 3-day state visit to the Southern African country.<\/p>\n
This followed a meeting between President Mahama and his host, President Seretse Ian Khama.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n This MOU according to President Mahama is to aid the two countries share experiences and grow their democracies.<\/p>\n Being Africa\u2019s longest continuous democracy, Botswana has a reputation for\u00a0political stability,\u00a0democracy,\u00a0sound economic management\u00a0and\u00a0good governance.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n This opinion is widely shared\u00a0\u2014 by\u00a0foreign governments,\u00a0international financial institutions, organizations such as\u00a0Freedom House\u00a0and\u00a0Transparency International, and even\u00a0academics.<\/p>\n
