Kanye West burst into tears and excused himself from the microphone during a radio interview on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He was talking about\u00a0his mentor and fashion professor Louise Wilson, who died in 2014.<\/p>\n
Referring to her as the \u201cgreatest fashion instructor of all time,\u201d Kanye West recounted the last time he saw her.<\/p>\n
He said \u201cWe had dinner at Hakkasan, which is my favourite restaurant in London\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think she knew that she was going to pass, and she just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward, and she was asking me about my daughter, asked me about my wife … and she said, you know, \u2018So many students, they don\u2019t give it their all, and the problem is, soon as they do anything halfway good when they\u2019re two-years-old, three-years-old, their parents clap.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c … She just looked at me and she said, \u2018Kanye, don\u2019t clap.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Soon after saying that Kanye choked up, covered his eyes with his hands and began crying.<\/p>\n
He then left the studio to compose himself.
