The Nigerian army has taken over the north-eastern town of Baga which was seized by BokoHaram militants since January 3rd.<\/p>\n
A tweet from the army’s official account indicated that \u00a0“mopping up” operations were ongoing.<\/p>\n
The BBC reoprts that it also revealed that it has killed several Boko Haram militants, though this has not been independently verified.<\/p>\n
Nigeria has said about 150 people died when Boko Haram seized the town but locals said up to 2,000 died.<\/p>\n
