Former General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly called Sir John wants the Power Minister to apologize for mocking the party’s \u201cW\u0254n Gbo\u201d demonstration<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n The NPP on Wednesday embarked on the demonstration to protest what they say is the debilitating effect of the power crisis<\/strong><\/a><\/span> on Ghanaians and worsening economic situation<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in the country.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”05Dytg6UKJ9ZRCWKXgEBhdKEvbsUepnB”]But in response to the protest, the Power Minister, Kwabena Donkor described the demonstration as a “health walk.”<\/p>\n Speaking on the Point Blank<\/strong> segment of Eyewitness News<\/strong>, Sir John argued that they embarked on the protest for \u201c\u201cthe majority of Ghanaians who are suffering\u201d hence it was necessary.<\/p>\n Sir John demanded an apology from the Minister and described his comments as insulting.<\/p>\n \u201c…I have heard the [Power] minister arrogantly saying that we were just on an exercise and that we wanted to trim down. Let him delude himself by saying that we were just exercising.
