He had been on the run since June last year.<\/p>\n<p>Aside admitting to the charges in his police caution statement, the suspect repeated his confession in the presence of the media moments before he was arraigned in court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Christopher Tawiah said on June 7, 2013, Isaac Owusu was killed and his Kia Rio taxi with registration Number AS646-13 stolen.<\/p>\n<p>Police picked information that Mewugah was driving the deceased\u2019s taxi.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested by the Akim Oda Police who handed him over to the police at Bechem in the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n<p>ASP Tawiah said the suspect in his cautioned statement confessed to killing two taxi drivers; one at Derma in the Brong-Ahafo Region and the other in Asuoso near Abofour in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Source: Daily Graphic<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 28-year old chainsaw operator, Victor Mewugah has confessed to killing two taxi drivers and stealing their vehicles.
