The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has directed the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) to block its website temporarily.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”mzqk1y8t3Iw1JHDvFBWHZxZiZ28riDOm”]The website of the\u00a0Commission has been taken down by hackers claiming to be based in Tunisia.<\/p>\n

The Tunisian flag has been imposed on the home page of the website.<\/p>\n

This incident follows\u00a0a recent attack on about 10 government websites<\/strong><\/span><\/a> including that of the official Presidency of Ghana website\u00a0by a Turkey based hacker.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of the CHRAJ, Bernice Adu said the Commission will commence investigation into the incident while the site is temporarily blocked.<\/p>\n

Bernice Adu told Citi News<\/strong> said CHRAJ has asked \u201cNITA to block the site while we initiate investigations into what really happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have our IT department which is responsible but I cannot tell how long it will take to restore the site,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The hackers have not given any reason for their action, but some experts\u00a0say\u00a0government websites are being targeted because of their poor security features.<\/p>\n
