The website of the Government of Ghana, www.ghana.gov.gh<\/a> has been hacked.<\/p>\n

This was confirmed by a Deputy Minister of Communications, Ato Sarpong on the Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

According to the Minister government technicians are devising measures to restore the site.<\/p>\n

“To an extent yes. I have made the relevant calls and we are working on it to restore the site in just a couple of hours.,” he said.<\/p>\n

He was unable to tell the source of the hack but assured that it will be investigated and the website will be restored soon.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m unable to say the cause of the hack at this moment but when you go on the site, you will see that its been hacked. It will take you to a different place.”<\/p>\n

In 2012, the\u00a0Ministry of Justice and Attorney General\u2019s Department\u2019s website \u2013 www.Mojag.gov.gh was also hijacked by hackers sympathetic to Argentina, which had its military vessels, the Libertade Frigate \u201cseized\u201d by a Ghanaian court.<\/p>\n

National Service Scheme –\u00a0www.nss.gov.gh<\/a><\/p>\n

School Feeding Programme –\u00a0www.schoolfeeding.gov.gh<\/a><\/p>\n
